UKCRIC NRFIS

The UKCRIC National Research Facility for Infrastructure Sensing (NRFIS) is a new state of the art research facility hosted by the University of Cambridge. Housed in the new Civil Engineering Building located on the West Cambridge Campus.

We are the Civil Engineering Division within the Engineering Department at the University of Cambridge. The Department is made up of 6 Divisions: Energy, Fluid Mechanics and Turbomachinery (Div A), Electrical Engineering (Div B), Mechanics, Materials and Design (Div C), Civil Engineering (Div D), Manufacturing and Management (Div E) and Information Engineering (Div F).

We aim to advance the design, construction, and operation of civil and structural engineering systems within the broader context of sustainable and resilient infrastructure and the stewardship of Earth's resources and environment.
